Something Blue - Blue Bouquet Pinterest Board

I'm a fan of filling out the Bridal Bouquet Builder Pinterest page lately, so this week's project was to make a board for blue wedding flowers! Other colors will be coming soon, but I wanted to start with blue pallets because of the Western tradition where a bride carries, "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue," down the aisle on her wedding day.

In my family, our "something old" and "something borrowed" tends to be a handkerchief out of my late great-great grandma's collection. Our "something blue" is usually also "something new", so we get to be creative with what blue thing we carry down the aisle. Why couldn't our flowers be blue?

Blue color pallets have variety!

The Pinterest Board I put together has a handful of blue color pallet choices near the top. I decided to include these because you might have a specific kind of blue in mind that I didn't think of right away. If you're not sure what you want your colors to be yet and just want to browse to see what speaks to you, looking through the color combinations you can make with blue flowers can be a great idea to get your gears turning, too!

The colors you choose may not be available in fresh flowers

A quick reminder: If you fall in love with blue bouquets, you may have to look to silk, wooden, paper, or creative flower alternatives in order to get the exact color + flower combinations you want. Some flowers don't come in blue varieties and some shades of blue don't take to flowers easily. Talk to your florist about what's available in your area during which seasons to explore your bouquet options!
